During our first week back at school, we designed a pictures which encompassed our past and future dreams.

Our teeth- science investigation

We used eggs shell to represent the enamel of our teeth then dipped each egg in a type of drink. We discovered that drinks which were acidic such as orange juice or lemon cordial damaged our teeth the most whereas drinks such as tea stained our teeth.

Water remained the only drink which caused no damage to our teeth.

Art- Raised block printing

We started by drawing our bird designs . Then, we drew our designs on a lino printing block. Finally we cut out our designs ready to stick on the lino printing block. We used a brush to spread the paint onto the tile. Finally , we pressed the raised tile onto our background designs.

For the background, we used polystyrene tiles. We carved our designs using a blunt pencil, used a roller to spread the paint and pressed the tile onto the card.

English- Picnic at the beach

Inspired by Valerie Bloom’s poem Sandwiches, the children have had a go at writing their own poems about a picnic at the beach.
